Testimonials

"Iowa ACAC has propelled my professional career to new heights. It has allowed me to educate peers, network not only in Iowa, but across the nation and counsel students to the best of my abilities. I encourage you to take full advantage of this outstanding organization."

Chris Traetow, College Planning Center

"Membership in the Iowa Association of College Admissions Counseling has been incredibly valuable to me in my role as a high school counselor. The networking opportunities have led to my appointment to several advisory councils, and have allowed me to develop strong relationships with my colleagues in the college admissions profession. High school counselors can never have too much information when it comes to helping their student clients in the dynamic college admissions process. I have found the IACAC conferences to be very valuable as a professional development tool. I would encourage any high school counselor to consider joining IACAC for the many benefits it has to offer."

Mike Droll, school counselor, Tipton

"Membership in IACAC has been a great experience both professionally and personally. I have been a member of the Membership Development Committee and several Conference Planning Committees. I have had the opportunity to practice and develop leadership skills as well as make life long friends! I have also enjoyed meeting colleagues from all over the state and being a part of a group of people that are so passionate about what they do!"

Kristin Chapman, Iowa State University

"I think the biggest benefits are the personal contacts and networking that comes from being involved in this group."

Jim Gale, retired school counselor, Algona

"I figured I had admission counselors in my office all of the time, it might be nice to have a perspective from their professional organization. It is nice to have an organization partnering with ISCA to promote positive happenings surrounding the issues we all deal with on a daily basis."

Leah Heidemann, school counselor, Carlisle HS
